Lara Trump praises 'warm' and 'loving' father-in-law at Republican convention

Lara Trump, Donald Trump's daughter-in-law and a campaign adviser to the US president, praised him for appointing women and pushed his "law and order" policy in her address on Wednesday night. Lara, the wife of Mr Trump's middle son Eric, was the only family member to talk on the third night of the Republican convention. "It didn’t surprise me when President Donald Trump appointed the most women to senior level positions of any administration in history," she said. "The Secretary of the United Nations, Secretary of the Air Force, the first female CIA Director, the first African American female director of the Fish and Wildlife service and countless ambassadors, just to name a few. "He didn’t do these things to gain a vote or to check a box - he did them because they are the right things to do."
